About the breed
starting from
The Havanese, Cuba's national dog, originated centuries ago from bichon-type dogs brought by Spanish colonists. Bred for companionship, these happy-go-lucky pups are known for their playful and affectionate personality. They are low shedders, perfect for allergy sufferers, but their silky coat requires regular brushing and occasional professional grooming to prevent matting. This makes maintenance costs moderate. Overall, their charming and intelligent personality makes them delightful companion dogs.
